Welcome to Cill Dara Old Vehicles Club

Our club was originally set up to provide a transport club based in Kildare town to cater for owners and enthusiasts of older vehicles in the area so they could enjoy, present, preserve, educate and record the history of motoring transport and heritage in Kildare.

This is an owners and enthusiasts’ motor club founded to enable members and their families to enjoy the benefits of their 20+ year old vehicles at local level in an inexpensive manner.  It is a friendly, inclusive, welcoming and family oriented club that respects the difference and diversity of all its members.

Our numbers are growing, we are now 70 strong and we extend a warm welcome to any new members out there.  Our member’s vehicles range from the early 1900s to 1990s.  Whilst the majority of our members are proud owners of vintage and classic cars, we welcome all modes of transport from motor bikes, buses, vans, agricultural vehicles and lorries.

We hold our meetings at 8.30pm on the 3rd Monday of each month in the Silken Thomas Pub in Kildare town.  All upcoming meetings are noted on the website – see the calendar

So if you have a classic or vintage car, motor bike, tractor or if you are interested in them, then please take some time out to view our gallery.  You will also find details of some of the events we have hosted or attended over the last number of years.
